VP Sara did not answer many of the questions asked during the initial hearing for the budget of her office. She later did not attend the hearing yesterday which other members of the committee took as a boycott and insult. Pastor Apollo Quiboloy snd 4 others have been arrested (surrendered?) last Sunday and are now under the custody of PNP. The accused have posted bail for bailable offenses. However for the Pasig RTC case of trafficking, it non bailable.
This case is a big blow to religious leaders who can be charged and jailed. Connection with powers that be cant guarantee that a religious leader cant be charged and jailed.
The mighty and powerful all not look helpless and worthy of pity. Let us pray for them.

In the battle for US Presidency, and lady candidate is proposing an anti gouging law that would punish retailers from profiting from price increases during inflation. Why punish the trader when the govt:
1. Has increased interest rate from the Federal Reserve. The trader has no choice but to pass on the cost
2. The printing of too much money naturally causes the price of goods to rise because of oversupply of money. More money vs goods means higher price of good.
These price increases are the results of govt actions, not by traders. Traders know that higher prices result in lower sales, and lower margin.
Certainly this is populist policy and very likely to win votes. The Philippine geniues might copy this.
More thinking should be made in this proposed policy if ever the candidate wins
All that goes up must come down. SK is one of the top 10 economies in the world, despite the fact that in 1950, PHL aided Korea. They were very poor. But leadership will and the little help from USA made SK an economic powerhouse.

There was too much flood since Monday brought about by now Typhoon Enteng. Rizal was heavily hit. Most towns except Binangonan and Angono were heavily flooded. But Pililla (at the church and embarcadero Hulo) Namay Morong, Pinugay Baras, Cardona, Antipolo, Cainta (Imelda Highway was iimpassable), San Mateo, Taytay, Marilaque, Sampaloc (Tanay) Rodriguez were flooded. We could not imagine flooding at high places like Antipolo, Tanay, Pinugay. and Tanay.
Other areas in Cavite, Paranaque and Las Pinas, Navotas, Bulacan were observed. NLEX was virtually a river.
Several theories were all ready advanced by netizens as causes:
1. Over development at the mountains. So the LGUs and regulatory bodies were blamed. As in Antipolo and Pililla (3 subdivision projects are ongoing at Bugarin).
We are quickk to blame the govt... But the citizens bear responsibility too.

narrower
3. Occupation of accretion. The sediments deposited by river were titled and occupied by
private land owners. The original areas of the river should have been preserved.
And now we are blaming the govt? Some developers in the Marikina watershed were seen
to be narrowing creeks; in gated subdivsiions, there is no flooding because they tripled the
volume of creeks: widened and made them deeper.

We contribute to global warming. We can help lessen this:
1. Conserving electricity;
2. Less global traavel by jet or ship;
3. Riding the tricycle and smoke belching jeep;
4. Plant trees
6. Perhaps this is part of the end times.
Let us help those who were affected by floods.
Let us mind this flood mitigating measures when the weather is fine, and not after disaster strike
